156  My Love for God Will Never Change

I

A lifetime of hardship, wandering through the wind and rain; who knows of the suffering He goes through?

In a humble flesh, He works with patience—

but man’s love is hard to gain.

He speaks all the words He ought to, worrying His heart to pieces;

to save man, He’s worked His heart out for decades on end.

God’s heart, God’s love—when will people truly understand them,

so that they may comfort God’s heart a little?

God’s words conquer my heart; I will follow God steadfastly to the end.

I pledge an oath; so long as I have a breath left in me, I will be loyal to God.

II

In God’s words, I understand the truth and know how to conduct myself.

In God’s words, I see all things clearly; the truth alone is most precious.

However great the trials and tribulations, I wish only to gain the truth. Loving God is what’s most meaningful.

I’ll offer up my loyalty in my duty and willingly endure the final suffering to testify to God and glorify Him.

God’s words purify me; I swear upon my life to repay His love.

I offer my heart up to God; my love for God will never change.
