162  Running Toward the Path of Light

I

In the human world, demons run wild, and misery abounds;

mankind is evil and madly resists God.

Living in darkness, people struggle in pain—

where’s the path of light in life?

The devils’ reign is dark and terrifying;

they hinder faith in God, and arrest and persecute believers.

With so many informers keeping tabs and surveilling,

gathering to praise God is impossible.

So many Christians have been forced to flee,

so many have been persecuted to death.

The place where devils reign is hell on earth;

following God means being ready to risk one’s life.

Seeing clearly Satan’s devilish face,

I renounce Satan and follow God with iron determination.

Through reading God’s words I understand many truths,

and I’ll run toward the path of light without hesitation.

God has become flesh to express the truth,

giving mankind the way of eternal life.

I accept the true way and propagate the kingdom gospel,

yet suffer the CCP’s pursuit and persecution.

I often pray amid this tribulation,

and God’s words give me faith and strength.

Even God endures great humiliation in saving man,

so it’s only natural for me to suffer a bit in my duty.

Created beings should expend for God;

doing duties and submitting to God is perfectly natural and justified.

No matter how many perils and tribulations lie ahead,

I’m willing to submit to God’s arrangements.

Through God’s judgment and chastisement,

I see that God’s disposition is holy and righteous.

Certain that Christ is the way of eternal life,

I’ll run toward the path of light without hesitation.
